Classes cost $3400 and run five weeks, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Each student will be provided with a set of basic tools and taxidermy catalogs. Upon graduation, students will receive a certificate of completion as well as over the phone guidance as needed after completion of the school.
The following is a list of projects that we recommend students accomplish while at school, but not required:
The listed projects are a guideline so you will obtain the most experience possible. You are not required to do all the projects, nor are you limited to what is listed. Bringing your own animals to mount is recommended. If you are not able to do so, the school will obtain your animals for you at your request - depending on the animals you choose to mount this could cost between $800.00 - $1500.00. Or if you have some and need more, we can help you obtain them.
All of the tools you will need during class will be at the school. You will be responsible to purchase the materials and forms for your mounts while at the school - we ask that you wait to order them to allow training in this area. You should expect to incurr approximately $1000.00 in extra costs for these materials if you perform all the recommended projects listed above (this figure will also vary depending on the animals you choose to mount) .
